Kling 4.0 outside China: the official pages disagree about whether it is fully live

Kling is Kuaishou’s video product at kling.ai. Kling 4.0 is the release people were searching on 16 Oct 2026. The official pages we fetched that day do not tell one story about whether the full model is on for every international account.

What the dated pages say

The user guide is dated 14 Oct 2026. Its capability table lists text-to-video, image-to-video, first and last frames, up to 10 keyframes, Omni Reference, 3 to 30 seconds, 720p / 1080p / 4K, 10-bit HDR at 1080p and 4K, stereo audio, prompts up to 8,000 tokens, up to 10 reference images, up to 5 reference videos totalling 30 seconds, and up to 15 reference inputs in total. Languages named on that table include Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, and Hindi. Video extension up to 2 minutes is marked coming soon in that same guide.

The feature page, fetched the same day, still says the full model is “coming soon this October,” and that Flash is the limited rollout: up to 20 seconds, up to 720p, 8-bit, and no multi-keyframes. A blog post dated 15 Oct 2026, about the short “The Beat,” repeats that Flash is in early access and that the official model launches this October. The 30 Sep announcement said the same thing in earlier language, and it called 10-bit HDR “coming soon,” which the 14 Oct table no longer hedges.

We did not sign in. We cannot tell you which paragraph matches the button on an account created outside China. Secondary writeups on 15 Oct claimed a full rollout and a credit rate. Those rates were not on an official grid we archived, so they are not repeated here. Open the creator and read the number it shows before you pay. The older Kling page is the same refusal, for the same reason.

MCP and CLI

Kling’s own MCP post says international accounts use https://kling.ai/mcp. You sign in when the client asks and you authorize the connection. The post also points at a CLI guide. We did not copy a package name or a version out of that guide, and we did not run a generation. The post says available models can change, and that you should confirm the settings before a batch spends credits. That is the whole operational claim we will make.

Where it sits against other video tools

The preference board we stored is from 22 Sep 2026. It has older Kling rows and no 4.0 row. Seedance, if you want a ByteDance video model with a published token price, is on BytePlus, which is a different company door and a different unit. The video comparison keeps those charts apart on purpose.

Privacy

A reference image of a person is more sensitive than a sentence. Kling is a PRC product even when the website is in English. Do not upload a face without a reason you could explain. There is no affiliate link on this page.
